Living in South Carolina

South Carolina has an abundance of history, culture and beauty from the mountains to the Atlantic coastlines. There are some excellent galleries and museums for nurses to enjoy such as Bob Jones University Museum and Gallery, The Artist Colony, Columbia Museum of Art and The Charleston Museum. Among the interesting places to visit is Fort Sumter, where the first shot was fired in the Civil War. Historic Charleston is rich in history and features beautiful antebellum homes and plantations. The Rice Museum, Old Slave Mart Museum and The Charleston City Market are great places to visit. In terms of outdoor adventures, there are 17 Atlantic beachfronts and islands to sun, swim, scuba dive, snorkel and boat. Other activities include white water rafting, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, water skiing salt water fishing and golfing.
